I’m John Kesler. I am a born and raised Coloradoan and currently live in Gunnison, Colorado. I just started a new position with the TSA at my local airport. For the last six years I was a fishing and hunting guide going after pretty much everything the valley had to offer. I particularly enjoyed guiding archery elk hunters, late season mule deer and fly fishing. Trolling for salmon and lake trout is pretty fun as well. When I hunt and fish for myself I particularly enjoy fly fishing both here and in New Zealand. When I’m lucky enough to have a deer or elk tag, I have taken to trying to fill it with one of my antique rifles from the world wars. I love writing about my adventures and am a die hard advocate for hunting, fishing and public lands.
