Ameristep Doghouse Ground Blind Review

The Ameristep Doghouse Blind is a cheaper route for having a ground blind. They usually will run you between $60-$80 depending on where you go. It comes with the pop-up ground blind, carrying case, and a set of stakes. The set-up is really easy. You pull it out of the case, and it will pop up on its own. Stake it in the ground and you are ready to hunt. It is rather small on the inside. It will fit one adult comfortably, but if you want you could squeeze two inside.

It has three half-circle zipper shooting holes. This allows you to see three directions, as they are to your right and left and front. The back will unzip to allow you access in and out. At first, stowing can be tricky. I recommend watching a video on YouTube and try it a few times before heading out to prevent wasting 20-40 mins trying to stow it after hunting.

Overall for the price, it’s a good ground blind. The only improvements I would ask for are another shooting hole on the back where the access in and out is, and a little more room on the inside to allow a more comfortable bow hunting, but this is a great blind for a first or cheap ground blind.
