Danner Vital Boots Review

The Danner Vital boots are awesome. I have been using them for a little over a year now and have been blown away by how well they work. I have the 400-gram insulated, as well as, a non-insulated pair. The boots fit my feet really well. They provide excellent ankle and arch support. I got the non-insulated pair because the insulated pair were too hot when pheasant hunting or turkey hunting.

The waterproofing works great. I have crossed small streams without my feet getting wet. One downside I have noticed is the boots need to be tied really tight to stay tied. If the laces are loose at all they will untie and can be difficult to tie again after they get muddy. I have worn the insulated pair in temperatures as low as -5oF and been comfortable. I have used them in knee-deep snow and they kept my feet dry and warm.

At $160 for the non-insulated and $170 for the insulated, they are some of the most expensive boots I have ever bought, but they have been worth every penny.
