Lacrosse Alphaburly Pro Boot Review

After my long time hunting boots finally got a hole in them, it was time to start searching for my next pair of boots. I am a fan of the rubber style boots, not only are they easy to get on and off, but they are also scent-free. After much research I found the Lacrosse Alphaburly Pro boots, and their ratings led me to believe these were a quality boot. Boy, the reviews were correct! As soon as I put them on I was a fan! They are lightweight, fit just like a sneaker, and very comfortable.

Overall Impression: 9/10

These boots are 18” tall and built with premium, natural rubber with insulating neoprene. This leads to durability, flexibility and comfort. Lacrosse boasts a full rubber clad over neoprene which leads to what they describe as “absolute comfort with unequaled scent protection”. I can say, these are one of the most comfortable boots I’ve tried on. These boots have an adjustable strap on the calf to fit anyone perfectly to keep you dry and warm. This also allows you to easily side the boot on and off as well. With the adjustable strap fully open, you can also fold the top of the boot down for more airflow and comfort on those all day sits.

Tread Pattern: 9/10

The Alphaburly Pro has an aggressive tread pattern that will grip and keep you safe in any terrain. The open spaces in the tread pattern help to shed the dirt and mud. This allows for maximum traction in the slipperiest of environments. This aggressive tread pattern far surpassed my previous set of hunting boots.

Style and Price: 8/10

Lacrosse offers these boots with up to 1600G of insulation. So whether you're looking for a non-insulated boot for everyday hunting needs, or something with ton of insulation, the Alphaburly Pro offers something to meet your needs. You can also find these boots in a variety of camo patterns, prices vary depending on which pattern you choose. They offer Realtree, Mossy Oak and even First Lite patterns. I choose the Mossy Oak Break-Up, non-insulated version. Starting price on these boots is around $160, which means they are not the cheapest boots, but also not the most expensive either. For the everyday budget hunter like me, they were a good middle of the road price range.
