Lacrosse Mallard II Realtree Max-5 Waders

One thing you’ll find you need when you’re duck hunting is a good pair of waders. Something that will keep you warm when hunting in the late season, but also something that’s comfortable enough to wear during those long hikes into your secret duck swamp. These waders will do both.

The Lacrosse Mallard II Waders are insulating 3.5 mm stretch neoprene and 100 % waterproof. The boot foot boots are 1000G thinsulate ultra insulated. They feature polyurethane reinforced knees and seat with abrasion resistant material.

Some nice features for me are the buckle straps and front pockets. My previous pair had Velcro straps and always came undone. The buckle strap is adjustable and doesn’t come undone whenever there is strain put on it. The front pockets on these waders are also a plus. They have a hand warmer pocket, top load pocket and built in call holder for storage. The built-in hand warmer allows you to not need a separate hand warmer pouch with you. The pocket, with a couple hand warmers in it does the job pretty well. And if you use the pouch for shells as well as keeping your hands warm, that’s where the top load pocket comes in. More than enough room for a box of shells.

I’ve been using these waders for a several weeks this season, and they’ve been doing really well at handling brush and taking a beating. Retailing for $259.99, these are a really good set of waders, worth the investment.
